Furniture placement
Click the furniture you want from the left library, then click once more at the desired location on the floor plan. You can easily place furniture wherever you want!
Moving furniture
Moving with the mouse
To move placed furniture, click and hold the product, drag it to the desired location, then release the mouse. At this point, the yellow guide line is activated, and the snap feature works to automatically align the product. This is useful for matching the spacing between products or with walls.
Moving with the keyboard
After selecting a product, you can move it precisely as much as you want by entering keyboard shortcuts.
Move in 10 mm increments
Use the arrow keys ← ↑ → ↓
Move in 100 mm increments
Use the arrow keys ← ↑ → ↓ while holding Shift
Moving in 3D mode
In 3D mode, when you click the product you want to move, a three-color axis appears. If you drag the axis, you can move only in that axis direction, and if you drag from outside the axis, you can move freely.
Relative movement
In 2D mode, you can move a product by an exact distance using the [Relative movement] feature.
Click the reference point you want to move from, and
release the mouse at the desired position. (The moved distance will be shown on the screen!)
If you want to move an exact distance, enter the number you want in the distance field, then click the [Apply] button.
If you click the [Copy] button in the options window, the same product is duplicated and two copies are placed.

Furniture rotation
Products can be rotated in both 2D and 3D modes.
Rotating with arrows
To rotate a product, click the arrow and drag it to the desired angle. With 45-degree snapping, you can rotate easily and intuitively.
Adjusting the exact angle
If you want to rotate to an exact angle, you can adjust it by entering the angle value directly in [Product Details] on the right. Setting the desired angle numerically allows for even finer adjustments.
Rotate 90 degrees with a shortcut
Using the [Q] shortcut lets you rotate the product by 90 degrees. It's useful when you want to adjust the angle quickly and easily!
Turning off snap
If you want to move or rotate a product freely without being affected by snap, try moving while holding the Ctrl key. At this point, the snap feature is temporarily turned off, so you can adjust it freely as you want.
3D mode
In the toolbar that appears when you click a product, click the [Rotate] icon once to display the rotation axis and rotate it in the desired direction. You can adjust the angle by dragging the rotation axis directly, or enter the rotation value directly in the details on the right. Clicking the rotate icon again exits rotation mode and returns to the original move mode.
Adjusting furniture size
If you want to adjust the size of placed furniture, there are two ways: using the product's bounding box and adjusting it in the product details on the right.
Adjusting with the bounding box
In 2D mode, when the bounding box is activated, you can click and drag the points that appear to stretch or shrink it as much as you want.
Adjusting in Product Details
In [Product Details] on the right, which appears when you click a product, try changing the width, depth, and height using the slider bars or by entering numbers directly.
Keep aspect ratio
If you select the Keep aspect ratio checkbox and change one of the width, depth, or height values, the other properties are automatically changed to match the ratio.
Reset values
If you want to restore the product to its original state after placing it again, click the [Reset values] button at the top right of the property.
Toolbar features introduction
We introduce the features you'll need to know to decorate a space using the products you've placed. When you place furniture in the editor, a toolbar appears to the right of the furniture. Using the toolbar, you can easily access various convenient features. Let's take a look at them one by one.
2D mode
Horizontal flip: You can flip the product left and right.
Vertical flip: You can flip the product up and down.
Copy: Copy the selected product.
Array placement: A useful feature when arranging multiple products at once.
Delete: You can delete the product.
Select same product: All identical products are selected, and you can check the group's detailed information in the editor's right panel
Rotate copy: Copy the product after rotating it to the desired angle.
Relative movement: You can place products at the desired intervals around a reference point.
Lock: Locked products cannot have their properties changed. To unlock, click the product and then click the lock button.
Hide: You can hide the product from view.
Furniture position recommendation: AI analyzes the furniture and floor plan and automatically places the furniture (product) in the optimal position.
Copy furniture
Click the copy button in the toolbar that appears when you click furniture, then click once more at the desired location and the copied product will be placed. (You can also copy and paste using Ctrl + C / V.)
Array placement
This is a useful feature when you want to place multiple products. Products are duplicated and placed at equal intervals, and you can specify the number and distance. Available only in 2D mode.
Linear mode
After clicking the array placement icon, click the reference point.
Click the point while spacing it out by the desired direction and distance.
To finish the array, click the Apply [Enter] button, or click anywhere on the floor plan to exit the mode.
You can adjust it by entering the distance and number of copies directly in the input fields at the top.
Fixed spacing / Fixed length (options)
Fixed spacing: Products are placed at the distance entered from the reference point.
Fixed length: Products are placed within the entered distance from the reference point, in the specified number.
Circular mode: Arrange furniture in a circle. Set the desired angle and number to place furniture in a circle.
Good for evenly placing chairs around a round table.
Path mode
This is a useful feature when you want to place products side by side continuously without interruption. For example, it can be used when repeatedly placing partitions.
After selecting [Array placement - Path], set the product direction.
If you move the mouse toward the side where you want to place it, the product will be placed along the path the mouse travels.
If you want to finish placing, press the [Done ESC] button to exit the mode.
Rotate copy
Using the rotate copy feature, the product is copied with a mirror-like flip. It can be adjusted to the desired distance and angle. It is useful for creating facing desks or symmetrical arrangements.
After clicking rotate copy, click the mouse where the desired angle and distance are.
You can also enter a number in the distance field to change it with an exact value. Press Apply [Enter] to exit the mode.
This feature is available only for a single product or a grouped product. When multiple items are selected, the [Rotate copy] button does not appear.

Deleting furniture
To delete furniture, click the furniture you want to delete, then click the delete icon that appears in the toolbar. Or you can delete it by pressing the Delete or Backspace key.
Hiding furniture
You can show/hide furniture individually. Click [More - Hide] in the toolbar to hide the furniture.
To make hidden furniture visible again, click the corresponding icon in [Layer Management], then select the eye icon.
Locking furniture
When furniture is locked, it is excluded from selection. If you lock furniture that you want to keep fixed, you can arrange the space more easily. After clicking the furniture you want to lock, press [More - Lock], and the bounding box will turn red and a lock icon will appear.
There are two ways to unlock:
You can unlock it by clicking the lock button next to the selected furniture.
You can select the locked product in the [Layer Management] tab and unlock it.
2D projection
In 3D mode, after clicking a product, if you select the [...] More button, you can use the 2D projection feature. This feature automatically aligns the product to one of the 6 standard views (front view, back view, left side view, right side view, top view, bottom view).

Grouping furniture
Multiple selection
Multiple selection is possible in both 2D and 3D modes. You can select multiple products at once and use functions such as moving, aligning, and array placement. It's efficient because you can easily operate multiple products at once instead of moving them one by one.
Shift + drag (select a wide area at once)
Using this method, you can drag to select multiple products at once. All products within the area dragged by the mouse are selected at once, so it's useful when moving or rotating multiple products at the same time.
Shift + click (select only the products you want)
While holding Shift, click the products you want one by one with the mouse, and you can select only the ones you want. If you click a product that's already selected again, it will be removed from the selection, so you can accurately choose only the products you want to work with.
Grouping
Shortcut: Ctrl + G Grouping multiple products lets you manage them at once. After multi-selecting the products you want, click the [Group] button in the toolbar to bundle them into one group. Now you can move or rotate this group all at once.
You can also group grouped products into yet another group. You can create nested groups and manage group of groups, group of group of groups, and so on all at once for greater efficiency!

Shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + G If you want to manage grouped products individually, click the [Ungroup] button.

Aligning furniture
Alignment can be used in both 2D and 3D modes. It is a feature that helps you neatly and easily align furniture, and when you select multiple products, alignment icons appear in the toolbar. Select and apply the alignment function you want.

Replacing products
If you click the [Replace product] button that appears in group details while multiple products are selected, you can choose a similar product from the furniture library on the left. Using this feature, you can replace the selected product with a new product in the same position. Also, in the [Group details] on the right, you can check how many identical products have been placed.
If there's no recommended product and a message saying 'No products available' appears, don't worry. Press the back button and find and select the product you want again, and it will be replaced at the same position as the existing product.
If you have placed multiple identical products, it's much more convenient to click the [Select same product] button to select them all at once and then use the [Replace product] feature.
Changing position properties
Each product has a position property assigned by default.
For example:
Products placed on the floor: rugs
Products standing on the floor: chairs, tables
Products attached to the ceiling: ceiling lights, ceiling fans
Products attached to the wall: curtains, frames
In the editor, you can change this position property. After clicking the product, modify the position property in the product details on the right. For example, you can stage a picture frame attached to a wall standing on the floor, or replace a wooden plank attached to the ceiling with another decoration.
These changes are applied only within that project, so try arranging more freely!
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an easy tip for placing objects on top of products?
I'll show you two methods.
Enter height from the floor
When you want to place an accessory on top of a table or storage unit, first check the height of the table or storage unit, then place the accessory. Then, in [Height from floor] in the product details on the right, enter the same height as the furniture, and the accessory will be placed exactly on top of the table or storage unit. With this method, you can easily place and style objects!
Using ghost line mode
If you want to place objects in the middle like a bookshelf, or if placement is difficult because the top surface of a product is low, try using ghost line mode. When you turn on [Display Mode - Ghost Line Mode] at the bottom of the editor, the outer edges of the product are shown as lines, making it easy to check where they meet other products. Now just drag the green arrow and place it exactly against the face of the other product.
Can I import furniture from the original project into a new floor plan?
In the Archisketch editor, between projects 'Room Copy' and 'Copy furniture' features, you can bring the contents of a previous project into a new floor plan. See below for how to do it.
Import the whole room
Open the new floor plan tab and the previous project floor plan tab at the same time.
In the previous project floor plan, click and hold the floor of the room you want to copy, then press Ctrl+C to copy the room.
Go to the new floor plan tab and press Ctrl+V to paste the room.
Adjust the furniture in the room to fit the new floor plan.
Import only furniture
Open the new floor plan tab and the previous project floor plan tab at the same time.
With the furniture you want to import from the previous project selected, press Ctrl+C to copy it.
Multiple furniture copy: While holding Shift, you can drag to select the furniture you want.
Go to the new floor plan tab and press Ctrl+V to paste the furniture.
Adjust the position of the pasted furniture to fit the new floor plan.
