# May 2026 Updates

This May, **an AI work entry point has been added to the dashboard,**, and the range of content you can create within the drawing has expanded by another step.

First, in \[Dashboard], **Archisketch AI page**has been newly added, allowing AI-based tasks from drawing search to furniture placement and render capture to be started from a single screen. In addition, **video creation feature**and, for quickly reusing libraries, **style templates**, and the **minimap**have been added as well, so the number of tasks you can handle on a single screen has increased significantly.

I'll organize the May update into two main parts. First, **1) AI area**changes, then **2) other features**improvements and additions.

***

### 1. AI

#### The Archisketch AI page has been added to the dashboard

In the dashboard menu, **Archisketch AI page**has been newly added. The AI-based tasks that were scattered throughout the menu — **drawing search, furniture placement, render capture** — have been gathered into a page so you can start them from a single entry point.

When you start a new project, you no longer have to wonder which menu to enter first. On the AI page, you can launch tasks right away and continue naturally through drawings, furniture, and rendering. In other words, we've brought together the entry points for AI tasks that were scattered across projects into one place.

### 2. Other features

#### Video content has officially joined in

The biggest change this month is **the video creation feature in Render Studio**Now, not only still render shots but also video content can be captured directly inside the drawing editor. At present, **Manager level and above**can try it first, and any videos created are immediately assigned to the project.

On the dashboard, **render content detail page**has also had its UI refined to match the addition of video. In the render content page under \[Project > Project Detail Page], video content captured with the drawing editor can be **viewed, deleted, and downloaded**all on one screen.

<figure><img src="/files/d5a1367c7672c2603eada6df7eae580f6a69fbcd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In the same vein, the editor's **gallery and gallery detail page** layout has also been tidied up. Assuming an environment where images and videos accumulate together, the card structure and list view have become much clearer.

#### Tidy up repeated library settings with templates

In \[Dashboard > Library > Library Advanced Settings], **style template page**has been newly added. You can save frequently used parameter-library combinations, such as design-kitchen body colors and handle shapes, **as templates**and load them when needed.

<figure><img src="/files/8f02762e6ba8d2ac4fb3136e314e7efebcb8857e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The same style templates can also be **applied and viewed as is**in the design editor. Rather than defining the same specifications from scratch every time, you can think of it as a flow where you dress everything at once using prearranged templates.

#### At a glance, the editor minimap for drawings

In the editor, **minimap**has been added. Drag the handle at the bottom left to **the size you want**to adjust it, **the ceiling, finish material, and parametric editors**can be used the same way throughout the 2D/3D drawing editors, including the ceiling, finish material, and parametric editors. It helps you quickly pinpoint where you are when working on large drawings.

#### The finish material editor, made into a more intuitive tool

In the early May update, **we overhauled the UI/UX of the Finish Material (Face) editor overall**.

First, **tile placement mode**has been newly added. You can enter it right away by clicking a wall in 3D mode, and tile size can be freely adjusted on \[Dashboard > Corporate/Public Finish Material Library > Tile Detail Page].

<figure><img src="/files/278f50c2d48ce23cb770991fa56c276b8254748c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Face Editor header**has also been cleaned up. Measurement (M), Add Guide Line (G) **shortcut keys**have been added, and when drawing measurement lines, **holding Shift snaps them horizontally and vertically**so they snap.

<figure><img src="/files/d7a4ab2c69026f0170429dde8420a2b9b28228fe" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Molding preview**We also improved the consistency of the preview. When generating molding, the initial values are set to match the actual size of the territory, and changing the height (h1) in the preview synchronizes it directly with the actual molding height. The width (w1) is determined by the wall size, so we disabled input to reduce confusion.

<figure><img src="/files/0f9deb745445031372ec0abf5a199a08648cac08" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Newly added this time **Drag-to-move molding strip**is also worth checking out. You can drag the selected molding along the y-axis on the canvas, and the upper and lower boundaries of the area **boundary limits**and **top, center, and bottom snap points**are applied, and a blue guideline is displayed.

<figure><img src="/files/1d76062cb4e7caf490fa00718429f917dd974975" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Modular, more flexible

A new variable type has been added to the parametric editor (Modular): **Component Type** has been added. It can be used when **replacing a specific product, part, or model with another component**so you can apply a wider range of configuration variations more flexibly depending on the situation.

<figure><img src="/files/e09f2cde25d403d8a3633fd2e568e7fb79ac6175" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Along with that **bug fixes**were also made. We fixed an issue where the product type set in Modular did not work properly in the 2D/3D drawing editor, so now the settings between the two editors **are applied consistently**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.archisketch.com/guide/intro-en/update-note/2026/202605.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
